TALAS gave an overall explanation of 2012 Congress update to be confirmed by council members, and inspect the meeting facility which to be used for Congress in 2012.

6. Confirmation of host associations or societies for 6th AFLAS Congress in 2014
Laboratory Animal Science Association of Malaysia (LASAM) has been decided to be the host association for next AFLAS Congress in 2014. The tentative date of the congress meeting is 11-14 November, 2014.

7. Election of host associations or societies for 7th AFLAS Congress in 2016
We will start accepting proposals for hosting 2016 Congress, and we will decide it at the 2012 AFLAS Congress in Bangkok.

8. Admission of Indonesia Society for Laboratory Animal Science (ISLAS) to AFLAS
Since ISLAS has not yet legally registered or have neither its constitution nor committee member, AFLAS decided to put on hold their application until its formal registration. As soon as ISLAS formal registration is completed, (most likely it will be around the end of 2011) ISLAS will send AFLAS office the necessary admission paperwork once again, then ISLAS will become a member of AFLAS. The Council Meeting does not require another vote again.
